Lifting the lid: 400 years of food and drink in Scotland

This free exhibition  at the National Library of Scotland tells the story of the Scotland’s relationship with food and drink. Included are recipes books from 1600s -1940s for  delights such as mock turtle soup and  powsowdie (sheep’s heid broth) as well as more traditional dishes.
