16th Sept 2015, 9.15-10.15am at National Library of Scotland

This is an opportunity to hear from the curator of the NLS’s summer exhibition.  If you don’t know a peck from a mutchkin or you fancy serving mock turtle soup for your next dinner party come along on the 16th  Sept and see how the diet of our ancestors has influenced what we eat today.

Places are restricted to 10 only

  1. If you have not been to this exhibition you have until 8 November and it is well worth a visit. It was a great pleasure to be shown personally round “Lifting the Lid” by the Curator Olive Geddes. The arrangement of material by food type rather than chronological order ensured the displays were meaningful and enlightening. There are books, images and videos with a very good table set out in the middle to capture the imagination of any children or grown ups willing to draw their favourite meal. Thanks ELISA for organising this.
